Support the KNDU/KNDO-Bechtel-URS Feeding Families Food Drive

By coming together as a community, we can make a difference. Please help us fight hunger during the KNDU/KNDO-Bechtel-URS Feeding Families Food Drive, April 23 through May 17. Second Harvest transforms every dollar you donate into six pounds of food – that's about four meals – for people in need. Please donate today and be part of the solution to hunger in our community!

Feeding Hope in the Columbia Basin

Second Harvest has been operating a charitable food distribution in the Tri-Cities since 1997. Since then, Second Harvest has increased food distribution and improved services to people in need throughout the Columbia Basin. Second Harvest distributes more than a quarter of a million pounds of donated food each month to more than 55 neighborhood food banks and meal centers that are feeding hungry people.

Waste Treatment Plant (WTP)
It's that time again and every year WTP exceeds expectations!

Last year was a record-breaking year collectively for Bechtel-URS and its Hanford affiliates of a $110K in cash donations. WTP lead the way with $60K in cash donations. Let's strive for $70K this year. Please consider making cash donation to support the people in need in our community. Cash donations are valuable as Second Harvest can leverage its buying power though its vendor contracts.
Employees and groups are encouraged to team up for a ton. Since $1 purchases 6 pounds, $333 purchases one ton of food.

Project Controls has volunteered to be the pacesetter group for the campaign. Although the campaign doesn’t officially begin until April 30, a portion of the gifts Second Harvest receives during April will be matched by the Feinstein Foundation’s $1 million challenge to fight hunger.
Please join me in the fundraising effort for this organization.
