Support the KNDU/KNDO-Bechtel-URS Feeding Families Food Drive

By coming together as a community, we can make a difference. Please help us fight hunger during the KNDU/KNDO-Bechtel-URS Feeding Families Food Drive, April 23 through May 17. Second Harvest transforms every dollar you donate into six pounds of food – that's about four meals – for people in need. Please donate today and be part of the solution to hunger in our community!

Feeding Hope in the Columbia Basin

Second Harvest has been operating a charitable food distribution in the Tri-Cities since 1997. Since then, Second Harvest has increased food distribution and improved services to people in need throughout the Columbia Basin. Second Harvest distributes more than a quarter of a million pounds of donated food each month to more than 55 neighborhood food banks and meal centers that are feeding hungry people.

WCH's Story
The employees at the River Corridor Closure Project give generously in many ways to the Second Harvest.  We believe in reaching into the community, making a difference in the lives of those we live around and helping where we are able.  The KNDU - Bechtel - URS Feeding Families Food Drive is such an important part of the effort.  Please join us in supporting this wonderful cause.

"I grew up in a large family in Oregon and for the first 10 years of my life we lived on donations from others and welfare. I strongly believe in providing help where it is needed and encourage others to do the same. You truly never know when you or someone you love will need a little extra help."

"My sister in law is a 3rd grade teacher here in the Tri-Cities. She sees first hand the children that come to her classroom hungry from not having dinner the night before - children who eat their free school lunches and then hide leftovers from other kids in their pockets to eat later. If we can not save the children, then who are we really, as a society. Please give, and be so thankful that you and your children never go home to bare cupboards and an empty refrigerator."
